Children often want to enter online contests for fun. Parents should be wary of Web sites that ask for more information from the child than participation in that contest requires. (This rule also applies to participation in games) Web sites also need to give parents notice before entering the child in the contest -- and give them the opportunity to prevent the child from entering the contest.
